Long House of the Hiiumaa Museum

The main house of the Hiiumaa Museum has been located in the old directors’ residence of the former Kärdla Broadcloth Factory, popularly known as the Long House, since 1998. The house was constructed in the 1830s and 40s; the 60 m long house is one of the longest wooden houses in Kärdla.In the museum you can see one big and several smaller temporary exhibitions all year round.

A souvenir and book shop with a wide selection of local handicrafts is open.
